My name is Stacy Bunkers. I grew up in Le Mars and attended Le Mars Community. After graduating from LCHS, I attended the University of Northern Iowa. I received my degree in: Elementary Education, Early Childhood, Special Education, and Reading. I also have my Master’s Degree in Special Education from Morningside. I am now in my 17th year of teaching. I absolutely love teaching 3rd grade and enjoy the kids’ smiles and truly believe that you should love first and teach second. There’s nothing better than for a child to tell you they love school and knowing that you are making a difference. It’s quite a special experience to teach in the building that you attended as an elementary student and in a devoted district with so many wonderful people.
I have been married for 16 years to my husband, Jeremy Bunkers. We have four wonderful children: Jaxon, Mya, Hallie, and Jayze. They are our pride and joy and we love spending time with them. We enjoy going to sporting events, spending time outside, and being with friends and family.
Teaching means so much to me. To see a child grow, learn, and smile everyday is what teaching is all about. I love what I do and being surrounded by children and watching them live and learn is a truly amazing job!
