Le Mars opened the season at the Humboldt Invitational Friday night. Atlantic won the team
title but the rest of the team standings were not available Friday night. For Le Mars, Nick
Madson finished second at 106 pounds, Alex Hermes was third at 285, C.J. Singer took
fourth at 138, Tanner Frankston-Small was fifth at 106, Jacob Johnson took fifth at 170,
Chris Hamman was sixth at 132 pounds, Bradley Hartman was sixth at 285, Tyler Priest was
seventh at 145 and Mitch Weaver was seventh at 152.

Le Mars fell to 0-and-2 in duals, losing 54-24 to Sheldon and 66-18 to Sergeant Bluff-Luton
Tuesday night at Carey gym. Bulldog winners in the Sheldon dual including Skylar Gries
and Nick Madsen by falls and David Weidauer and Jacob Johnson by a forfeit. In the
Sergeant Bluff-Luton match, Alex Hermes, Nick Madsen and Chris Haman had falls for Le
Mars.

FRIDAY RESULTS – January 27 (wrestling) Le Mars finished seventh, tied with Cherokee in the
Lakes Conference Tournament at Spencer Friday night. Spencer won the team title with 198 1/2
points with Emmetsburg second with 196 1/2 points. Spirit Lake was third, Estherville/L-C fourth,
Western Christian fifth and Storm Lake sixth. The Bulldogs claimed a pair of second places with Nic
Madsen taking second at 106 pounds and J.D. Steen at 220 pounds. Mason Cook at 132 pounds and
David Hernandez at 182 pounds finished third, and Tyler Carlson at 113 pounds, Chris Hiserote at
195 pounds as well as Alex Hermes at 285 pounds all finished fourth.
