Bulldog Highlights Hello, fellow Bulldogs! Last month I wrote to you about our district’s student achievement goals. In the month of November, you will have the opportunity to view the Le Mars Community School District Report Card for 2016-2017. The Report Card is our effort to share information regarding how our students performed during the last school year, academically and in extra-curricular ac- tivities. Another good piece of information regarding our school district is within our District Annual Progress Report submitted to the Le Mars Community School Board. If you would like to view this document, it is available at the Superintendent’s Office, or you can download it from the district website at http://www.lemars.k12.ia.us , click “District” on the top tool bar, click “Plans and Reports” on the drop down menu, and then click “District Annual Progress Report.” I want to thank Lisa Eisma, Administrative Assistant, for developing both the Annual Progress Report and District Report Card. I encourage you to review the Report Card and contact Mrs. Rachel Leavitt, Curriculum Director with any questions or comments. Also, in case you have not noticed, Le Mars Community School’s website has been updated ( http://www.lemars.k12.ia.us ). Our goal was to create a website that was easy to navigate, appealing to view, and conveniently find necessary information. I want to thank Bruce Ludwig, LCS Director of Technology, and Mark Walz, Network Engineer, for assembling and working with the commit- tee to create this great new website! Since November is upon us, so will the joys of winter be coming soon. Any- time there is bad weather we do our best to evaluate road conditions and make a determination as to whether or not we have a late start, early dismissal, or school cancellation; always with our students’ safety as the priority. Your best source for accurate and timely school related weather announcements is listen- ing to 1410 KLEM. In addition, we contact the Le Mars Daily Sentinel and KTIV Channel 4.
