This is an in depth course which includes Introduction into Microsoft Word and Microsoft Power point. Skills
introduced include; entering and editing text, formatting paragraphs and text, using the spelling checker and
thesaurus, applying formatting options, organize and develop a presentation, create slides, develop handouts,
and create multimedia applications.

This is an in depth course which includes Introduction into Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access. Excel is
designed to acquaint the student with the basic concepts of an electronic spreadsheet program. Hands-on
practice in designing, building and editing spreadsheets will be used. Access teaches the fundamentals of
database design and database creation using lecture and labs. Microsoft Office Suite 2 is designed to teach
students the necessary skills to construct spreadsheets and databases for home and business use.
This is an elective course designed as a broad-base introduction to Microsoft Office which will include keyboard
operating techniques and development of speed and accuracy. The major areas of learning will include word
processing, database creation and management, spreadsheet, and the use of presentation software as well as
the integration of these applications. This basic knowledge can then be transferred to other computer uses.

Learn to accomplish your goals through financial planning. Students will learn how to manage income and credit,
how to own and project assets, and how to save to achieve financial goals. Specific topics that will be discussed
are checking and savings accounts, taxes, career planning, home buying and insurance.

An entry level course designed to give you a basic understanding of our economic system, banking services,
consumer buying, using credit, saving and investing, money management, risk management, and small business
management. Some elementary math is utilized to develop your understanding of these topics.

career and technical course which meets every other day for the full year. The purpose of the
course is to help the 9
grader transition from middle school to high school and provide him/her with the
groundwork to learn a process for making choices concerning his/her future in high school and beyond.
